American Heartland changes name to First Secure Community Bank

SUGAR GROVE - American Heartland Bank & Trust will change its name to First Secure Community Bank on April 1. The new name signifies dedication and commitment to the community, and follows the bank's recent move to a new building in the heart of Sugar Grove. The new banking facilityu at 670 N. Sugar Grove Parkway was crafted with many unique features, including an antique vault door that weighs about 10,000 pounds and was salvaged from an old bank in Kansas City, Missouri and weighs about 10,000 pounds. The restoration, including disassembly, refinishing, reassembly, refitting of all parts, took over 118 hours. While the name has changed, the bank continues to have the same management, employees, board and ownership that has served the community for the past 16 years.
