Gurnee police traffic crackdown results

Gurnee police have released results from their St. Patrick's weekend traffic crackdown. Running from March 15-20, police said they conducted enhanced impaired driving and seat-belt enforcement activities throughout the village. There were four drug-alcohol arrests from 18 vehicles that were stopped. There also were four speeding citations, seven seat-belt citations and two felony arrests, police announced Tuesday. The enforcement was funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
