District 21 launches new, easy-to-use websites

Community Consolidated School District 21 launched new district and school websites at www.ccsd21.org, offering a fresh design and easy-to-use navigation system so users can quickly find the information they need.

"The new sites showcase our students and the latest news from our schools and the district," said Dr. Kate Hyland, District 21 superintendent. "Information is easy to find and new features will improve accessibility for our users."

The homepages for the district and each school site display a bold, engaging photo to give users a glimpse into the classrooms. Scrolling down on the homepage, users can read about the latest news and events from the school and district. The interactive calendar allows users to display the events from multiple buildings at once, making it particularly easy for families with children in multiple buildings to see all events in one place.

A key feature of the district site is the curriculum portal. Users can easily navigate between grade levels and subject areas to understand the concepts taught in School District 21, or to dive down and see specific essential understandings and guiding questions.

The website's responsive design makes use of the websites seamless on screens ranging in size from a desktop monitor down to a smartphone.
