Indoor cycle training comes to Woodstock

Indoor cycle training has come to Woodstock. Classes started Monday, March 14.

Young Masters Fitness, 110 S. Johnson St. in Woodstock, is proud to be the only facility in Woodstock to offer group and individual indoor cycling classes. Using world class Stages Cycle bikes, The Woodstock Spin Club in cooperation with Young Masters Fitness, will be offering a full schedule of classes for beginners up to the advanced level.

Besides being the only facility in Woodstock to offer cycling classes, these classes will utilize professional level equipment, the latest cycling technology, and take advantage of digital sound and visual equipment to create an optimal environment for cycle training.

The Stages Cycle is designed and built with performance and reliability requirements requested by professional riders and racers. Thanks to the wide range of adjustability and comfort features, the cycle allows the user to focus on their performance no matter their size, shape or body style. While suitable for the average fitness rider, the cycle can easily be configured to challenge even the most advanced riders, tri-athletes and indoor cycling enthusiasts.

The cycles utilize the latest technology to optimize training and provide the most productive use of the users time and efforts. Instead of just tracking distance, time and pace, Bluetooth capability allow cyclists to digitally track their efforts, sync up their heart monitor, link to their Fit Bit or other activity monitors and Apps, record calories burned and even use a thumb drive to record and maintain their performance history.

This technology provides superior feedback and information allowing the user to more easily reach whatever goal (Weight loss/Endurance/Strength/Speed/Distance/Etc.) they desire.

The Woodstock Spin Club will also be offering 'Virtual" classes that offer a total sound and sight experience. In addition to strengthening your lower body and core, increasing endurance and burning calories, "virtual" classes will allow you to experience the sights and sounds of rides in scenic and exotic locations throughout the United States, Europe, and all over the world. "Virtual" training has been shown to be an exciting and fun way to approach cycle training and raises the bar for cyclist involvement and performance improvement.

Currently The Woodstock Spin Club offers eight classes per week, but will be adding more classes in the near future. Both 30 minute and 50 minute classes are available along with additional times for your own group and private session. A detailed schedule can be found by visiting: www.woodstockspinclub.com.
