CLC co-sponsors skill-building workshop series

New or experienced managers working for a municipality in administration, public works, parks, police, fire or building and zoning are invited to enroll in Communities of Excellence, a workshop series at the College of Lake County on six consecutive Tuesdays, April 5 to May 10.

Participants will learn the latest in municipal government issues and gain insights in leadership, communication, labor law and more The workshops will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room T323 at CLC's Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

The sessions will focus on the following topics:

• April 5: Governments and Governance

• April 12: Effective Decision Making

• April 19: Leading People and Departments

• April 26: Conflict Resolution

• May 3: Labor Law and Employment:

• May 10: Communications Skills
