Spring Break Dodgeball Tournament March 26 in Schaumburg

The National Amateur Dodgeball Association's Spring Tune Up Tournament kicks off at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 26 at The Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road in Schaumburg. Winners will earn paid bids to NADA's Outdoor National Championships, July 8-9, at Olympic Park, 1675 E. Old Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg.

Established by the Schaumburg Park District, NADA was created as a recreational pursuit for nontraditional sport enthusiasts. Through the development of rules, equipment standards and tournament organization, NADA has made dodgeball safe and enjoyable. Dodgeball is a team game where players on opposite teams throw balls at each other while trying to avoid being hit themselves. The main objective is to eliminate all members of the opposing team by hitting them with thrown balls or by catching balls thrown by member of the opposing team.

NADA sanctions dodgeball tournaments throughout the country.

"This tournament is going to be a really great way to kick off spring," said Derek Radek, athletic supervisor. "Dodgeball is the ultimate team sport. There is a lot of pride in winning this tournament" said Radek.

The tournament will feature men's, women's and co-rec divisions. For information, call (847) 490-7020 or visit dodgeballusa.com.
