Wisniewski's hat trick lifts Wauconda past Waukegan

Kayla Wisniewski's hot start to the season continued, as Wauconda's girls soccer team defeated host Waukegan 5-1 in a nonconference match Friday.

Wisniewski scored 3 goals, giving her four to go along with 3 assists in three games for the Bulldogs (3-0).

“Wisniewski's hat trick today was an example of how relentless she has been all week,” Wauconda coach Beau Shogren said. “She really took over the game today.”

Erica Miller added her third goal of the season and contributed 2 assists. Jillian Rejczyk also scored for Wauconda. Emma Lewandowski and Rachel Denovo had assists as well, and Ally Magiera made 7 saves in net.

“This week could not have gone much better for us,” Shogren said.

York 3, Warren 2: The Blue Devils trained 2-0 at halftime of the nonconference match.

Alliyah Parker converted a penalty kick for Warren (1-1), and Teagon Albert scored off an assist from Courtney Chomko.
