Forced diversity has dashed us to bits

I told you so.

The Daily Herald made its presidential endorsements March 10. In so doing, you had the audacity, make that unmitigated gall, to bemoan the "crude brawl" of one political party and the "further [national] divide" of the other.

Why the sudden concern? The Daily Herald has been fomenting these brawls and divides in its editorial positions for nearly 10 years.

The Daily Herald, as well as most other members of the Fourth Estate, have parlayed the quest for "cultural diversity" into today's "cultural divisity." I know "divisity" in not an accepted English word, but it best describes America today. I tried to warn you in late 2007 and early 2008.

The use of the hyphen is a major cause of the current national discord. By fostering the use of "(fill-in-the-blank)- American" identity, The Daily Herald, as well as most other members of the Fourth Estate, have led the cheers as America was "dashed" to bits.
