The Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Gaming Club at College of DuPage hosts its CODCON gaming convention, "Down the Rabbit Hole," during the second weekend in April.
The convention meets from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, April 8; 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 9; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 10, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the college's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
During the convention, participants can choose from a wide range of gaming attractions, events and tournaments, including anime, classic and contemporary board games, live-action role playing and role-playing games, miniatures, and video games.
In addition, the convention will feature game demos, an artist's gallery, free Crusaders of Lornia TCG launch parties and tournaments, raffles and vendor stands, as well as a CosPlay Masquerade and photo shoots.
Tickets cost $5 for one-day attendance, $7 for two days and $10 for all three days. Children younger than 12 are admitted at half-price. Some tournaments require an additional entry fee. Prospective attendees who preregister online receive a 20 percent discount on ticket prices.
