Rolling Meadows man sentenced to six years for abusing 9-year-old

A Rolling Meadows man pleaded guilty Wednesday to sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl and was sentenced to six years in prison.
Hugo Gonzaga, 39, of the 4700 block of Arbor Drive, was also ordered to pay $1,374 in fines in exchange for his guilty plea to a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault.
Prosecutors said Gonzaga touched the girl at an apartment complex swimming pool last August.
Gonzaga, who has no criminal background, was also ordered by Cook County Judge James Karahalios to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
