Best-selling author Jesse Andrews to visit Arlington Hts. library

Author and screenwriter Jesse Andrews ("Me and Earl and the Dying Girl") will be discussing his second novel, "The Haters," at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N Dunton Ave.

"The Haters" is a road-trip adventure that follows three young musicians on a quest to elude the law long enough to play the amazing show they hope they have in them. It was in part inspired by the years Andrews spent playing bass in a band.

Copies his work will be available for purchase, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and have books signed. This event is free and open to the public.

Andrews debut novel, "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl," was a New York Times and USA Today best-seller. His adaptation of the book for the big screen won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
