We need a new option for political direction

You don't have to turn far in either direction to be turned off by politics today. More than ever before, it seems there is a place for a third Party in America.

It seems most of us are concerned if not fearful that our next president could be a Bombastic Huckster or a Self-Indulgent Witch.

Politicians no longer appeal to Americans determined to actively make their world and the world around them a better place. They pander to extreme followers with promises that are illogical, unaffordable and antagonistic.

For the followers, the Trump card, if the pun can be pardoned, is "Little to no effort on the part of the individual". The "When I am President" chorus rings beautifully in the ears of those whose lives will turn on a dime come Inauguration Day.

It is impossible to see a way forward following extremists intent on Uniting the Country by pulling from both ends. The United States of Americans are the huge majority of people living here because they or their ancestors fled a place where greed and power had eliminated any hope of true freedom.

Greed and Fear are age-old adversaries that must be recognized and dealt with rationally. The politicians intent on running the country are using both to cloud reality and discourage common sense.

It has been said by many that the "view never changes for a follower." If that is the case, how come it gets progressively worse with each passing day?
