Prairie Center Arts Foundation Come Wine With Me event - April 9

The Prairie Center Arts Foundation's Come Wine with Me wine tasting event returns on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Schaumburg Prairie Center. Enjoy tastings from a wide variety of local and international wines, micro-brews, spirits and food. Live music by musicians from the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra and a special performance by Cicada Summer will round out this fun night out while supporting a worthy cause.

Admission is $35 and includes appetizers and a commemorative wine glass. Tasting guides will be distributed for note-taking, and guests will be able to take home their favorite tastes -- wines will be available for purchase at the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Prairie Center Youth programs including Schaumburg Youth Orchestra, Schaumburg Dance Ensemble, Schaumburg Youth Choir, Schaumburg Summer Theater and Screen Test Student Fest.

"Come Wine with Me is the perfect pairing of a fun night out for a wonderful cause," said Theresa Olvera, Executive Director of the Prairie Center Arts Foundation. "The Prairie Center Arts Foundation is pleased to host this successful event for our very supportive community once again."

The Prairie Center Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to the growth and excellence of cultural arts in Schaumburg. The Foundation fulfills its mission by securing grants, corporate sponsorships and individual donations, and by hosting special events. The Foundation supports the Prairie Center Youth programs, Theatre Buddies and Arts Partners outreach programs for at-risk youth and underserved populations and helps to offset costs for the season of entertainment at the Prairie Center.

Al Larson, Schaumburg Village President says of the importance of the arts: "If I had to list one thing that binds together the fabric of society, it would be art. It is perhaps the ultimate measure of civilization and a way that diverse cultures speak - one to another. Communities are enriched by it, and city and suburbs alike need to promote its growth and development."
