See 'Complete History of Comedy (abridged)

The Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg welcomes The Reduced Shakespeare Company performing "The Complete History of Comedy (abridged)" at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company has skewered history, the Bible, and the world's most revered playwright. Now the troupe of unabashed mirth-makers dissects humor through the ages, from cavemen telling Rock Rock jokes to Chris Rock, from Aristophanes to Zeppo Marx, from Commedia dell'arte to The Daily Show.

The bad boys of abridgement deconstruct the entire history of comedy, leaving no joke untold in 105 fast, funny, and physical minutes.

The Prairie Center is at 201 Schaumburg Court. Tickets for "The Complete History of Comedy (abridged)" are $38; $36 for seniors and students, and can be ordered online at www.prairiecenter.org or by calling (847) 895-3600.
