Bail set for four men accused in Addison burglary

A DuPage County judge set bail at $200,000 Friday morning for each of four suburban men accused in a March 8 Addison burglary.

Brayan Hernandez, Luis Ramirez and Angel De Jesus, all of Elgin, and Jose Ramirez of West Chicago are charged with residential burglary. Luis Ramirez also is charged with possession of burglary tools.

In addition, Luis Ramirez was charged Friday afternoon with a separate Villa Park robbery.

Prosecutors said the men are also being investigated for a spate of burglaries in Elk Grove Village and additional charges may be pending.

In the Addison burglary, the men are accused of entering a home on the 300 block of Myrick Avenue between 6 and 10:25 p.m. through an unlocked rear door and stealing a 48-inch TV, three laptop computers, an iPad, a PlayStation 3, jewelry and several checks.

Prosecutors said the men, along with a juvenile female from Carpentersville, were arrested early Thursday after a 1 a.m. police chase in West Chicago that ended near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Washington Street.

Police say they recovered a stolen vehicle as part of the investigation, which involved several other law enforcement agencies.
