Come Early to Addison's Community Easter Egg Hunt

Hop over to Addison's Community Park Saturday morning, March 12 for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to come early to enjoy a pancake breakfast and to take photos with the Easter Bunny inside Community Recreation Center, located at 120 E. Oak Street in Addison.

According to Park District staff, this may be the first time in history that the Egg Hunt is happening before St. Patrick's Day. "Usually there is a natural order of the seasons where Easter follows the St. Patrick's Day holiday," states Deb Pfaff, Marketing Supervisor, "however this year Easter is so early that our Egg Hunt happens to fall before it on the calendar."

The Addison Kiwanis Club is hosting a free, "all you can eat" pancake breakfast includes sausage and your choice or milk, orange juice or coffee. Breakfast is served from 8:00 until 11:30 a.m. inside Community Rec Center, 120 E. Oak Street. Donations to Addison Kiwanis Club are gladly accepted at the door.

After hiding more than 5000 candy and toy-filled eggs outdoors at Community Park, the Easter Bunny will be available for photos with children of all ages from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. After 10:00, everyone is invited to line up outside for the Easter Egg hunt which begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. and will end just minutes later. The public is invited to this free, community event. Parents are encouraged to bring a camera for memorable photos and children should bring an Easter Basket to collect the eggs.

The Addison Park District would like to thank the following community partners for generously sponsoring this event: Addison Kiwanis Club, Oxford Bank, Addison Fire Protection District #1, Quality Fabricators and Sunrise Electric, Inc.

Addison Park District is committed to providing the highest quality recreational opportunities and open space for everyone. The current 2016 Seasonal Fun Guide is available online with a full curriculum of leisure activities for all ages and lifestyles.
