Children can win prizes at Schaumburg's Shamrock Scramble

Lads and lassies are invited to wear their best St. Patrick's Day attire for the Schaumburg Park District's annual Shamrock Scramble.

Children will search for four-leaf clovers from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, March 13, at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane. Before the search, children will enjoy a snack and make crafts.

"It's a fun way for children to celebrate St. Patrick's Day," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Center manager and general program supervisor.

"Participants will learn about the holiday while playing games and winning prizes."

The event is for ages 1 to 6. Cost is $5 for residents and $7 for nonresidents.
