No. 19 DePaul women beat Marquette 98-65

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Jessica January had 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting and handed out nine assists on Saturday as No. 19 DePaul closed the season with its eighth straight win 98-65 over Marquette.

Brooke Schulte had 16 points and Chanise Jenkins scored 14 for DePaul (24-7, 16-2 Big East), which will have the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. Megan Podkowa and Ashton Millender added 10 points each.

The Blue Demons opened the fourth quarter with the first 11 points as part of an 18-2 run to build its largest lead at 90-52.

DePaul was 13 of 26 from 3-point range while Marquette was just 4 of 27. Schulte made 4 of 8 and January all three of her long-range attempts.

Allazia Blockton had 16 points, Danielle King scored 12 and Amani Wilborn 11 for Marquette (14-15, 9-9). The Golden Eagles got as close as 48-40 after trailing by 12 at halftime.
