Palatine Township GOP endorses Marter over Kirk for Senate

The Palatine Township Republican Organization has endorsed James Marter for U.S. Senate over sitting Sen. Mark Kirk in the March 15 primary, with the challenger getting 65 percent of the vote, the organization announced Friday. The PTRO also endorsed U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam over Republican challenger Gordon (Jay) Kinzler, with 73 percent.

Barrington Hills Village President Martin McLaughlin won the endorsement over Dan McConchie and Casey Urlacher for the 26th state Senate District Republican primary. Gary Seyring was endorsed for judge in the 13th judicial subcircuit of the Cook County circuit court.

For President, John Kasich got 31 percent of the vote; Marco Rubio, 24 percent; Ted Cruz, 22 percent; Donald Trump 17 percent and Ben Carson 6 percent.
