Schaumburg Township holds meeting Feb. 21 on new ComEd transmission line

Schaumburg Township officials will hold a public meeting Feb. 27 to share the latest information on ComEd's proposed new 138kV electric transmission line along the south side of the I-390 corridor, part of its West Central Reliability Project. The meeting will be held 10:30 a.m. to noon, at township headquarters, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates. Topics include the effects of the transmission line on township residents and property values, and the township's response to the West Central Reliability Project. Meanwhile, the Illinois Commerce Commission is currently accepting public comments regarding ComEd's proposed plan at www.icc.illinois.gov/docket/comment.
