Warrenville, Chicago breweries creating new craft beer

Two Chicago area craft breweries are teaming up to create a new craft beer.

Warrenville's Two Brothers Brewing Company and Metropolitan Brewing in Chicago are creating False Dichotomy, an India Pale Lager being brewed at the Two Brothers brewery in Warrenville. Lager yeast and hops come from Metropolitan Brewing in Chicago.

"Two Brothers and Metropolitan have 26 years of combined brewing prowess and have been an integral part of the Chicago craft beer scene from the beginning," Two Brothers Brewing Company co-founder Jason Ebel said. "This is a great opportunity to come together and showcase a Chicago beer we brewed with our good friends at Metropolitan."

Release parties are scheduled for 7-9 p.m. March 3 at the Nobel House in Geneva and from 6-8 p.m. at Jake Melnick's in Chicago.

Two Brothers was founded by Jim and Jason Ebel in late 1996. The company includes its 40,000 square foot brewing facility in Warrenville, Two Brothers Tap House, a 70,000 square-foot Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora and a new Tap House and Brewery in Scottsdale, Arizona. Their newest venture, Arizona Beer and Cider Company, is a distribution business focused strictly on craft beverages. Two Brothers' award-winning products include year-round, seasonal and artisanal craft beers, coffees and teas.

Metropolitan Brewing, in the Ravenswood area of Chicago, opened its brewery in 2009, specializing in German-style beers.
