Kids, decorate 'car' for 'Minions' Indoor Drive-In Movie

Palatine Park District presents the annual Indoor Drive-In Movie event for families from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 4, at Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 W. Illinois Ave., Palatine.

Each child supplies their own cardboard box to create a car to sit in during the movie. Decorations for the cars will be provided, or families can bring their own decorations. Please note that paint and permanent markers are not allowed. Each child will also receive a goody bag at the event.

Car designing will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a showing of the film "Minions" at 7 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult; adults are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to view the movie.

The fee is $5 per child and $1 per adult. Space is limited, and preregistration is required. Registration can be completed in person at Community Center, Birchwood Recreation Center and Falcon Park Recreation Center, or online at www.palatineparks.org using program code 126060-01.

Concessions including pizza, popcorn, candy, and beverages will be available for purchase. Outside food is not allowed.
