Batavia school to host fun fair

Alice Gustafson School PTO will host its annual fun fair from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 4, at 905 Carlisle Road in Batavia.

The fun fair is the year's biggest fundraising event for the school and proceeds will be used for educational programs, materials, equipment, and completion of the LRC remodel.

This year's fun fair, "Hawaiian Surfin' Luau," will feature unlimited Hawaiian-themed games and activities for a family "staycation" to Hawaii. The first 400 guests will receive goody bags.

Kid-friendly games with prizes will be held in each classroom throughout the school. Games will include Lava Flow Cake Walk, Limbo Pop Hop, Pineapple Bowling and more. In the gymnasium, kids will have a blast with inflatable jump house, and a hula contest. All included in the pay-one-price wristband. The Luau Lanai will be serving Hawaiian pizza, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and more for purchase in the cafeteria.

Dozens of raffle opportunities will be available. For $2 per ticket, participants can enter for a chance to win unique baskets with goodies from local businesses, a tablet and more. In addition, a 50/50 cash drawing also will be held.

"The Hawaiian Surfin' Luau" will be an evening of fun for all ages.
