Palatine seeks recipes for 150th anniversery cookbook

Palatine's Sesquicentennial Committee is looking for original recipes for cookbook to commemorate the village's 150th birthday.

Debbie Danecki, a committee member, said she helped put together a cookbook as part of the village's quasquicentennial 25 years ago and suggested they do it again. Danecki said they are hoping to receive recipes from the entire community including residents, restaurants, businesses and organizations.

"We just want to make it something that everyone in the community can contribute to," Danecki said.

She said they would like to get submissions from child chefs as well, something they did 25 years ago.

"Now those 3-year-olds who submitted recipes last time are 28-years-olds and we're hoping to get their recipes again now that they are adults," Danecki said.

Recipes should be sent to Palatine 150 Cookbook, P.O. Box 134, Palatine, IL 60078 and be postmarked by March 1.
