Work will help control flooding
The work has begun to clear, dredge and drain parts of Aptakisic Creek in Buffalo Grove.
The creek has been dredged and deepened and next a sloped edge will be created for better flow of this small meandering waterway - a healthier process to the environment and hopefully elimination of flooding in this part of the wetlands near Twin Creeks Park.
