Westgate alumni: Celebrate 20 years with music teacher

Jerry Berger will soon celebrate 20 years of teaching music at Westgate Elementary School in Arlington Heights, and he wants his former students to join him.

At the annual fifth grade music program on April 7, any and all Westgate music alumni are invited to participate, according to a news release.

"It would be a special time as I pass this 20 year milestone in my career that anyone that wants to relive the fond memories of Westgate, come back and share it with me and our community," Berger said in the release.

Officials said they hope alumni will join the 5th grade students in song, share their talents if they are still active in music or just watch the concert and help honor Berger.
