District 214 online auction runs through Feb. 14
Box seats to a sold-out Justin Bieber world tour concert at Allstate Arena are among the items up for bid in the District 214 Education Foundation Online Auction, which runs through Sunday, Feb. 14.
Collectively, the eBay-based auction boasts 125 items with a record value of more than $17,000. A fall weekend getaway in Saugatuck, Michigan, weekend escapes to Galena, an overnight stay in New York City with VIP box seats to a Carnegie Hall concert featuring Rolling Meadows High School musicians, Blackhawks jerseys, Bulls tickets, Notre Dame football tickets, theater tickets, portrait sessions, meals out, golf foursomes and a Mother's Day brunch are among the offerings.
Unique experiences, including a VIP tour of the Chicago Executive Airport and control tower, a ride in a classic convertible Mustang with lunch at Superdawg, up-close tours of ESPN Radio and CBS 2 studios and a visit with a local author whose book was selected for Oprah's 2010 Summer Reading List, also are up for bid.
The auction benefits the District 214 Education Foundation, which supports student success, classroom innovation and lifelong learning opportunities - including family and adult literacy efforts - across the 12,000-student district.
