Preparing for Ash Wednesday at Queen of the Rosary
On Monday, Feb. 8, Queen of the Rosary School students gathered for an outdoor prayer service.
In preparation for Ash Wednesday, Associate Pastor Rev. Michael Owen led a palm burning ceremony for students and staff of the Elk Grove school.
Eighth-grader Allison Banayat assisted in the burning of palms blessed during last year's celebration of Palm Sunday, resulting in ashes that will be distributed on the first day of Lent.
