South Carolina's returns after hurting left leg

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina leading scorer A'ja Wilson was helped off the court after apparently hurting her left leg against top-ranked UConn on Monday night.

The 6-foot-5 Wilson came down hard trying for rebound and rolled out of bounds in pain. Trainers worked on her left leg before she was helped off the court and into the locker room with the Gamecocks trailing the Huskies 30-15 with four minutes left in the second quarter.

Wilson did not return to the court until the end of the third quarter. She entered the game shortly after and played without problems the rest of the way. She finished with 13 points and six rebounds.

Wilson leads the Gamecocks in scoring at 16.7 points a game this season. She is second on the team in rebounds with 9.2 per game.

The sophomore had nine points on 4-of-4 shooting and three rebounds when she left the game.
