Antioch HS booster club gives opportunities to students, fun to community

Antioch Community High School's volunteer-driven booster club, Sequoit Pride, raises money to provide opportunities for students. Recently, Sequoit Pride awarded two scholarships; paid tournament fees for Model UN, Speech Team, and Math Team; provided raincoats for the marching band; funded a performance of Romeo & Juliet for all freshmen; and invested in dozens of other items supporting the future of ACHS.

Now, Sequoit Pride is preparing their largest fundraiser of the year. "The Main Event" is a dinner-auction-concert event with a luau theme. The Main Event will take place on Saturday, March 12 from 5:30pm-11:00pm at the Antioch VFW Hall at 75 North Avenue.

The evening will feature live entertainment by the ACHS Jazz Band and a concert by No Question. There will also be a BBQ dinner buffet, drinks, and silent and live auctions featuring valuable items donated by generous businesses and supporters.

A limited number of tickets are available at http://www.sequoitpride.com/themainevent. Dinner tickets are $30 before February 27 ($40 after) and include access to the live auction and concert entertainment. Auction-only tickets are also available ($15 in advance, $20 at the door).

This popular event sells out every year. Interested ticket buyers are encouraged to buy early before the event is sold out.
