Jaco's 4 3s, 18 points lead USC women past Arizona 67-57

TUSCON, Ariz. (AP) - Courtney Jaco hit eight of 14 field goals, including four 3-pointers, and finished with a career-high 24 points to lead Southern California to a 67-57 win over Arizona on Friday night.

Temi Fagbenle had 16 points, nine rebounds, a career-best five steals and two blocked shots, while Sadie Edwards scored 14 for the Trojans.

Jaco scored 10 during a 14-2 run to close the first quarter and open the second that gave USC (17-6, 5-6 Pac-12) a 21-14 lead with 6:15 left in the half.

Arizona (11-12, 2-9) committed seven of its 21 turnovers, made just 3 of 11 (27 percent) field-goal attempts and was outscored 21-8 in the second quarter.

Kristen Simon scored six-straight points to push USC's lead to 15, matching its largest of the game, about 3ˆ½ minutes into the third and the Trojans led by at least eight the rest of the way.

LaBrittney Jones led Arizona, which has lost five straight, with 17 points and a season-high tying 10 rebounds.
