Bulls' Butler wheeled off court with knee injury

DENVER (AP) - Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler was wheeled off the court late in the second quarter Friday night at Denver after apparently aggravating a left knee injury.

Butler was fouled near the basket by the Nuggets' Joffrey Lauvergne and fell awkwardly to the floor with 1:06 remaining in the second quarter. He was examined by medical personnel before getting to his feet and gingerly making his way to the foul line, where he made one of the two free throws.

He was then helped to a rolling chair and wheeled into the locker room.

Butler scored 19 points before leaving with the injury. He had returned to action for the Denver game after missing Wednesday's game at Sacramento - the first game he has missed this season - with left knee tendinitis. He suffered the injury Monday at Utah when he banged his knee in an on-court collision.
