Glenbard Parent Series event: Helping Adults Understand Teens, Teens Understand Themselves

The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will present Helping Adults Understand Teens and Teens Understand Themselves with Josh Shipp on Thursday, Feb. 18.

Have you ever wished for the secrets to successful communication with your student or the tools to help your teen open up? On Feb. 18, Shipp, author, speaker and television personality, will provide the strategies parents need to engage, support and motivate their children.

This free event is open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 in the auditorium at Glenbard North High School, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream.

Shipp's inspiring personal story and life-changing message has reached parents, educators, mental health professionals and millions of teens. As the author of "The Teen's Guide to World Domination" and "Jump Ship: Turn Your Passion into a Profession", Shipp helps young people learn valuable life-skills.

Combining laugh-out-loud humor and real-world experience, Shipp shares five mistakes parents unknowingly make and practical strategies to drive positive changes in their kids. It's a message from someone who's been there and wants parents to feel empowered and teens to succeed.
