The Bison recruits include 24 high school athletes from seven states, a junior college transfer from the State College of Science in Wahpeton and a transfer from Southern Methodist, a Football Bowl Subdivision school. NDSU competes in the lower-tier Football Championship Subdivision.

Eight of the new players come from Minnesota and six from North Dakota. Others are from Wisconsin, Missouri, Florida, Iowa and Kansas.

The Bison last month beat Jacksonville State 37-10 for a fifth straight FCS title.
