Gurnee seeks Citizen Police Academy applicants
Gurnee is seeking participants for the spring Citizen Police Academy class beginning March 3 and ending May 26. The academy is a 36-hour block of instruction designed to give the public a working knowledge of the practices, policies and procedures governing the police department. The instruction will be in 12, three-hour blocks weekly. Classes will cover every facet of operations, including the hiring and training process, the 911 call center, investigations, patrol and more.
