Mavs' Williams out against Heat after injuring hip at Hawks

DALLAS (AP) - Mavericks point guard Deron Williams will be out against Miami on Wednesday night after injuring his right hip in the previous game at Atlanta.

Dallas is also without backup guard Devin Harris, who will miss his sixth straight game with left big toe sprain. It's the same toe that required surgery before the 2013-14 season.

Williams left in the second quarter of a 112-97 loss to the Hawks on Monday. The 31-year-old missed four games in December with a left hamstring strain. He is averaging 13.9 points and a team-leading 5.3 assists per game in first season with his hometown Mavericks.

With Williams and Harris out, most of the backcourt load is likely to fall to Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea.
