Coroner says inmate's death being investigated as a homicide

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - A coroner says the death of an inmate at the Terre Haute federal prison is being investigated as a homicide.

Vigo County Coroner Susan Amos told the Terre Haute Tribune-Star (http://bit.ly/1JWDWRf ) some of the testing from the autopsy is not back in. She said she couldn't say anything more about the death of 23-year-old Michael Tucker because the investigation by the FBI is ongoing.

Tucker who was found unresponsive in his cell at 9:25 a.m. Thursday. He was pronounced dead at 10:45 a.m.

Tucker was serving a 32-year sentence for brandishing a firearm during a crime or felony violence. He was sentenced in the Eastern District Court of Virginia. Tucker has been in custody at the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute since April 7.
