Candidates forum Feb. 21 for 8th District Democrats

Candidates seeking the Democratic nomination to the 8th Congressional District seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth will attend a Feb. 21 forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Roselle/Bloomingdale.

The three candidates - Villa Park Village President Deborah Bullwinkel, state Sen. Michael Noland and Raja Krishnamoorthi - have accepted the league's invitation to attend. The event is an opportunity for voters to meet, ask questions and learn more about the credentials and platforms of the candidates prior to the March 15 primary.

The event begins in the East Campus auditorium of Lake Park High School at 600 S. Medinah Road in Roselle. A "meet and greet" with the candidates will be followed by the moderated forum, which starts at 4:30 p.m.
