Richardson passes 1,000 points as Stevenson clinches share of NSC Lake title

Ashley Richardson reached a milestone Tuesday night.

Stevenson's junior point guard scored 14 points, surpassing 1,000 for her career, as the Patriots clinched a share of the North Suburban Lake Division girls basketball championship by beating host Mundelein 44-30.

Richardson has 1,010 career points in her three varsity seasons.

Stevenson (22-5, 10-1) can clinch the outright championship with a win Thursday at Libertyville.

Mundelein fell to 5-20 and 1-10.

Antioch 63, Round Lake 39: Antioch, which has already clinched the North Suburban Prairie Division championship, keeps rolling.

The Sequoits got another division win against Round Lake thanks to a career- and game-high 29 points out of Alexis Duehr, who made her first 8 shots, 7 of which were three-pointers. Duehr finished with 9 three-pointers.

Ashley Reiser added 10 points and 13 assists for the Sequoits, who move to 23-4 overall and 11-0 in the Prairie.

Round Lake, which drops to 4-20 (0-11 Prairie), got 14 points out of Miyah Johnson.
