WINGS awarded grant by the AAML Foundation

The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation, a national charitable organization committed to helping protect children and families, announced that it has awarded a $5,000 grant to WINGS (Women in Need Growing Stronger) Program, Inc.

The Palatine-based charity was founded in 1985 and helps homeless and abused women and children with housing and services throughout the local community.

"It is extremely rewarding for us to recognize and support WINGS with this grant," said Anita Rodarte, president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation. "We greatly value the service they provide and hope this gift will help to expand and enhance their work throughout the metropolitan area."

"The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers originally founded the foundation in order to help enhance our efforts to better strengthen families and more effectively protect children," said Joslin Davis, president of the AAML.

"We are always honored to play any part we can in helping to support and recognize the inspirational work being done by so many local charitable organizations across the country."

The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation annually awards grants to a wide range of charities throughout the nation that provide programs or services related to supporting families and/or improving the practice of family law.

The foundation accepts applications from candidates by the annual deadline of July 15 and the selected organizations subsequently receive the grant by the end of the calendar year.
