Winter Luau Creates Memories for Dads and Daughters

There's still time for dads to make a date with their young daughters to join the fun at the annual Daddy Daughter Winter Luau on Sat., Feb. 6, 2016.

The Winter Luau will include crafts, raffles, food, and dancing, with a DJ playing favorite tunes and including the traditional dance contests. The event is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ranch View School gym, located at 1651 Ranchview Drive.

The 2016 Winter Luau features a buffet provided by Clara's Pasta, an ice cream sundae bar by Cold Stone Creamery, face painting, tropical-themed games and crafts. Fathers and daughters are encouraged to dress in Hawaiian outfits, and will be able to take home a free photograph and a party favor to commemorate the evening.

Registration is now open on a first-come, first-served basis until the event is full. To register, visit www.napervilleparks.org or call the Naperville Park District at 630-848-5000.

Naperville father, Rich Biederman, and his daughter plan to attend again this year, and have been attending the event since 2009. "When my daughter was little, she enjoyed the coloring and the ice cream bar. Now, she looks forward to the dancing and getting dressed up. The Luau has become a favorite tradition for us."
