COD February 'Images' Highlights Service Learning, Fashion, 3+1 Programs

"Images," College of DuPage's monthly one-half hour television show, features in its February edition segments on the College's Electro-Mechanical Technology and 3+1 programs.

Each month, "Images" highlights the personalities, news and curriculum of a vibrant College of DuPage campus. The show airs on 13 area cable television stations.

The February "Images" highlights the College's Service Learning program. Offered through the COD Career Services Center, service learning allows students to implement curriculum into a real-world setting through a number of volunteer opportunities offered by partner organizations. The volunteer assignments enrich not only the lives of students who are able to connect curriculum to practical application, but also the clients of partner organizations, which include SEASPAR's Hanson Center and Almost Home Kids.

The show also features a segment on the College's Fashion Studies program, highlighting the classroom, lab and clinical settings that give students valuable hands-on experience. Students, faculty and instructors offer a general overview of the curriculum and its relevance to today's job market.

This month's show also includes a segment on the College's 3+1 programs, which allow students to complete a bachelor's degree at COD with a partner college or university at a significantly reduced tuition rate. COD courses are taught for the first three years, with partner university faculty teaching the fourth year at COD's campus.

Images airs at various times on cable television stations in Downers Grove, Wheaton, Addison, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Glendale Heights, Bartlett, Lemont, Elk Grove, Darien, Aurora and West Chicago. Check local cable listings for times and channels.
