Baseball exec to lead Bulls' NBDL team in Hoffman Estates

Looking to grow their brand in the suburbs, the Chicago Bulls have selected a veteran minor league baseball executive to direct their new NBDL team in Hoffman Estates.

Brad Seymour, who most recently was the general manager of a Class A baseball team in Ohio, is the new president of the Bulls' NBA D-League team, which will begin play at the Sears Centre next fall.

Seymour will join the organization later this month, team officials said.

"The wealth of experience that Brad brings will ensure that we achieve our goal of creating a first-class organization in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago," said Michael Reinsdorf, Bulls president and COO. "Brad will be a great ambassador and leader for our new team."

Since 2009, Seymour has served as general manager and vice president of the Lake County Captains, the Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, in Eastlake, Ohio. He also has worked with the Lancaster Jethawks, an affiliate of the Houston Astros, and he spent nine seasons with the Sioux Falls Canaries of the independent Northern League.
