Aurora outlet mall offers scholarship

High school seniors living within 50 miles of Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora can apply for a Simon Youth Community Scholarship until March 1.

Recipients will be given up to $1,500 to enroll in a college, university, vocational or technical school. The top candidate nationwide will receive a $10,000 scholarship broken down into $2,500 increments for up to four years.

Winners will be selected by International Scholarship and Tuitiion Services, a third-party administrator, and scholarships will be paid by Simon Youth Foundation, a nonprofit that provides educational opportunities for at-risk high school students. Criteria include financial need, academic performance, leadership skills, participation in school and community activities and status as the first in a family to pursue higher education.

For details or to apply, visit syf.org/scholarships. Recipients will be notified in May.
