Schneider, Rotering to debate twice this week

Democrats running for Illinois' 10th Congressional District seat will meet in a pair of head-to-head debates this week. The first is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Congregation B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim, 1201 Lake-Cook Road, Deerfield. They'll meet again at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Stevenson High School, 1 Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire. Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering and former U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider of Deerfield are seeking the Democratic nomination in the March 15 primary. The winner will face Republican U.S. Rep. Robert Dold of Kenilworth in the November general election. The 10th District encompasses much of Lake County and the North suburbs, as well as a portion of Northwest Cook County.
