Lauzen should keep nose out of Gilberts
This letter is written in response to the Daily Herald article published Jan. 20 titled "Lauzen outlines his priorities if re-elected." In this article Chairman Lauzen exposes his plans to pursue an expansion of the county's fiber optic network by forming a public private partnership with the Village of Gilberts.
Does he not read the Herald or pay attention to county politics? The voters of Gilberts voted down a referendum to pursue a fiber optic expansion privately 5-1 a year ago. I believe a message was sent when we elected a Republican governor on a platform of less government involvement and intervention.
Why doesn't Chairman Lauzen then follow suit with party policy and keep his hands out of the affairs of the Village of Gilberts and concentrate on our county problems and his re-election. As a resident of Gilberts, my vote has been cast.
