Acoustic trio The Ballroom Thieves plays the ECC Arts Center Club Feb. 4

Boston-based band The Ballroom Thieves will perform Thursday, Feb. 4 at the Elgin Community College Arts Center.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the SecondSpace Theatre, Building H on ECC's Spartan Drive Campus, 1700 Spartan Drive.

The Ballroom Thieves is an acoustic rock/folk trio comprised of Martin Earley on guitar, Devin Mauch on percussion, and Calin Peters on cello, with all three members contributing vocals to the band's signature, soaring harmonies.

Recently nominated for Band of the Year by the New England Music Awards, The Ballroom Thieves sound is a captivating, joyous, and invigorating mix of acoustic styles that blends folk conventions with modern hymnals, delta blues grit with rich harmonies.

The band has shared the stage with bands like The Lone Bellow, Houndmouth, and fellow New Englanders Dispatch.

Tickets to The Ballroom Thieves are $25. The band will be performing in the ECC Arts Center Club which transforms the ECC Arts Center's SecondSpace Theatre into an intimate candlelit cabaret. At just 164 seats, audiences are close enough to see the artists every breath.

A rich hearty soup, dessert, wine, and beer will be available for sale from ECC's award-winning Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program.
