Orange County Breakers return to TeamTennis this summer

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - The Orange County Breakers are returning to World TeamTennis this summer with a permanent outdoor home court at Newport Beach Tennis Club.

Former ATP Tour player Rick Leach, brother-in-law of former world No. 1 Lindsay Davenport, will coach the team.

Breakers general manager Allen Hardison said Wednesday that the team will play six home matches and six road matches during the upcoming season, which runs July 31-Aug. 13. The club has previously hosted a U.S. Davis Cup tie and several pro exhibitions.

The Breakers were based in Newport Beach from 2003-11, winning the WTT championship in 2004.

The team's roster will be set at the WTT player draft on March 25 in Miami.
