Larson leads a Grayslake Central victory

Junior Amanda Larson scored 9 points in the first quarter and finished with a game-high 21, as Grayslake Central's girls basketball team celebrated senior night by handling visiting Woodstock North 61-32 on Wednesday in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division play.

The Rams improved to 12-11 and 8-2 in the FVC Fox.

Larson hit a pair of 3s and so did Quin Garbett, who contributed 9 points. Guard Kelly Moroney also had 9 points after making a 3 and going 6-for-6 at the free throw line. Garbett and Moroney are the Rams' only seniors.

Woodstock North made good on 18 of its 29 free throws but converted only 7 field goals, none of them 3s.

Warren 46, Lake Forest 38: On Tuesday night, Kaylen Dickson scored 13 points to lead the host Blue Devils to their second win this season over the Scouts in North Suburban Lake play.

Jordyn Hughes had 9 points for Warren (12-11, 4-7).

Lake Forest was led by Delaney Williams' 16 points (two 3-pointers), 3 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 rebounds. Maeve Summerville added 8 points and 11 rebounds for the Scouts.
