Get insured with Enroll Lake County!

Since November 2015, Enroll Lake County! has helped more than 873 Lake County residents enroll in a health insurance plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace or Medicaid, and open enrollment isn't over yet.

A project of the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center, in partnership with the Waukegan Public Library, Enroll Lake County! is in its third year. Trained and certified navigators are in place at various sites throughout the county to enroll or re-enroll residents in health insurance plans by the deadline.

This year, it's especially important for residents to get health insurance coverage by the Jan. 31 deadline, or face a penalty when filing their tax returns.

The Lake County Health Department is coordinating with four local agencies for the third year of the Enroll Lake County! project: A Safe Place, Mano a Mano Family Resource Center, Moraine Township and the YWCA Lake County.

Residents who enrolled in a health insurance plan through the Marketplace last year must re-enroll this year or be automatically re-enrolled in their current plan.

Those interested in exploring health care options through the Marketplace are encouraged to contact Enroll Lake County! for an appointment with a certified navigator. Appointments are available in English and Spanish by calling (847) 775-2582 or (847) 377-4999.

This project is funded through a grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health and is part of the Get Covered Illinois initiative.
